Chinese Democracy Finally Here?! - Someone Owes me a Doctor Pepper...

That's right, Chinese Democracy is finally here, and I was so freaking excited 2 years ago when Axl announced that Guns N' Roses would finally release their sixth album in almost fifteen years. Well excitement petered off when the band parted with manager Merck Mercuriadas during the Chinese Democracy tour.

Any album that takes over a decade, a lineup chance, management difficulties and a bet from the Dr. Pepper/ Snapple Group, has got to be good. Apparently Sebastian Bach has leaked some future Guns N' Roses album information stating that Chinese Democracy would be the first in a trilogy of upcoming albums.

Collaborations on the album include: orchestra sections composed by Marco Beltrami (who has composed the score for movies like Resident Evil and Red Eye) and Paul Buckmaster (who has worked with the Rolling Stones and Elton John), backing vocals from Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach, guitar solos from Dave Navarro and Brian May and even a section of rap from Shaquille O'Neal.

Chinese Democracy's sound has been likened to the industrial style of Ministry and Nine Inch Nails. Axl assures that the album has more of a blues influence and most songs resemble 1999's single "Oh My God."

If you get a chance to visit Guns N' Roses official site, there is a countdown ticker (which is pretty tough to get through), citing that Chinese Democracy will be released in the US on November 23rd, 2008. The released will be followed by a 2009 Guns N' Roses tour so keep checking back for more Guns N' Roses tickets information.
