After a storied career filed with the three main ingredients of Rock and Roll (Sex, Drugs and the aforementioned Rock and Roll), the Hall of Fame has deemed Guns N' Roses worthy of entering its hallowed academy. So far it's only a nomination and GNR is up against some stiff competition (the Beastie Boys, Heart, Joan Jett, the Cure and Eric B & Rakim) but they're strong contenders due to their massive album sales, popularity, hard rocking music and penchant for nose candy. If they were to be inducted it would set up the potential for a real honest to god reunion of the original members which might tear a hole in the space-time continuum.

Yes. Just when you thought George Lucas couldn't sell out any further, that's exactly when you should keep your eyes peeled for Chewbacca wearing a red headband and sunglasses and swiveling his hips to Guns N' Roses Welcome to the Jungle. The silliness was part of Disney's Star Wars Weekends 2011 to shill for Star Wars: The Clone Wars and pad George Lucas' massive bottom line. hopefully Guns N' Roses cashed in on the event as well. Check out the ridiculous video below:
Chinese Democracy Finally Here?! - Someone Owes me a Doctor Pepper...
That's right, Chinese Democracy is finally here, and I was so freaking excited 2 years ago when Axl announced that Guns N' Roses would finally release their sixth album in almost fifteen years. Well excitement petered off when the band parted with manager Merck Mercuriadas during the Chinese Democracy tour.
Any album that takes over a decade, a lineup chance, management difficulties and a bet from the Dr. Pepper/ Snapple Group, has got to be good. Apparently Sebastian Bach has leaked some future Guns N' Roses album information stating that Chinese Democracy would be the first in a trilogy of upcoming albums.
Chinese Democracy
As famous as the band was for creating a more edgy and sometimes politically themed music compared to other 80s hair bands, I can only imagine what this album will do to set it apart from the rest...considering some of the songs, if they WERE politically charged, would have been tossed by now since they could have been written at any time over the past 9 years!
But they're still not eligible for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame until 2012, so hopefully we see some more from this legendary band before then!

Oh it's so on it's way...Chinese Democracy after almost nine years and a cool $13 mill, (the most expensive album ever recorded)...
On October 5th, a source close to Rolling Stone claimed that the album had a "firm release date of November 21st, 2006". It's said that the band confirms this as well!!!
Best part is they're back on tour. Totally awesome, and they start Oct. 20. I have been dying for this day for like 4 years since the last bout.
SO...you have found the best place to get tickets to see the Chinese Democracy Tour...Nice job!
I have looked all over the place, and the best seats at the lowest prices are definitely on TicketLiquidator.com. I keep trying on Ticketmaster, but there's just no way I can wait that long to be told there's no tickets left. We've all been through it.
